The concept of Education Through Recreation was borne out of my daughter’s fascination for tv, computers, iPad and iPhone as well as her appreciation for science, nature and the environment. The purpose of this program is to instill a greater awareness among children that life does exist beyond the realms of all things IT. ETR is informal (experiential) learning where kids enjoy learning about their environment and their surroundings with the view of fostering a greater awareness and appreciation of all that is wonderful about nature in their locality and beyond. ETR is a family-run business whose philosophy is very much about cherishing both parent and child input into the program to make it meaningful, enjoyable, memorable, educational and successful.
